Excellent stay. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area! We had a great time! We were only in town for a few hours. The room was super stylish. The bed was very comfortable. Thomas was very easy to communicate with and flexible.
Muchas gracias Tino You are right downtown with the restaurants and shops. Greenbrier Resort is only a 15 minute drive away. The apartment itself is perfect for one or two people. Being able to have my little dog was a plus! I would definitely stay again.
Great location in downtown Lewisburg! I highly recommend this place for a great get away in a great town:. In the heart of the coolest small town in America. Very nice place with great amenities. Perfect Host :. John upgraded us which was great because of a problem with our tv.

The farm house was very nice and I enjoyed my stay at her place! I regime sans residu dietetique facile stay there again. Kelli is a super host for sure. Made us feel right at home and had menus of local restaurants in the area to try. Kelli was an amazing host and an absolute delight.
She was super flexible with our arrival time even when we were running late due to traffic, and made us feel right at home upon arrival. Her place is so lovely and very clean. I would definitely recommend Kelli's place to anyone looking to visit this wonderful town! Stayed here 2 nights. Kelli is a great host, very welcoming, and I felt very comfortable here. The location is in a beautiful area outside of town.
We had a double bed with luscious sheets, pillows and comforter. The sitting area was perfect for sitting and reading and relaxing. Sheila offers nice amenities to make a nice visit. Helpful in finding a good eating places on a Sunday. Follow her directions vs GPS! They offered for me to join them in the living room for conversation.
They also invited me to dinner which was very thoughtful! Lastly they sent me on my way with two plants as they grow many vegetation around the home. Overall phenomenal stay! Would definitely recommend to many others! A surprising gem in such a desirable area!
Beautiful home and gardens, lovely host who made our rained out weekend a delight! Beautiful space, very comfortable bed and separate sitting area. Gracious hosts. I highly recommend! The place was Outstanding!!!! Nice quiet neighborhood, best part everything you need is very close:.
Great value for the money, and outstanding hosts:. Suzanne was very helpful. The apartment was very cute with lots of special touches. We will stay here again. One of my favorite Airbnb's! It was so cozy and the yard was awesome and the amenities were perfect and it was so close to downtown!!
I will try to stay again when I'm in town! Suzanne is a gracious and thoughtful host. Five stars all the way around for her location as well as the space.
She offered many tips for enjoying the local color and restaurants. My family and I were passing through Lewisburg on a road trip. The town was very cute and Suzanne gave us some great recommendations on things to do and places to eat.
We highly recommend this rental! Communication before and during our stay was quick and very helpful. Check in was a breeze. The place itself is charming, very clean and spacious with a well stocked kitchen. The beds are very comfortable with extremely soft sheets.
Being moms of busy teenagers we were grateful for two good nights of sleep! Another great thing is the closeness to the adorable downtown with great shopping and amazing restaurants. It was a two minute walk from the house.
The dogs are sweet and make a great welcoming committee. We enjoyed playing with them. Thank you, Suzanne, the accommodations were everything you promised and more.
Great space, very comfy, perfect location. Suzanne and Clay were very responsive and thoughtful. Even though we ended up arriving much later than expected they were there to offer help unintrusively and their local restaurant recommendations were spot on! Would love to stay here again. Space was lovely and very close walk to town. Suzanne was very accommodating with our one year old which was so nice. It was a wonderful stay, would definitely book again! Sunny Retreat is beautiful relaxing place for a getaway.
My 2 friends and I took the weekend off to get away and catch up. This place could not have been more perfect. It had everything we needed. The host Suzanne is as lovely as Sunny Retreat, very responsive to any of our questions or needs.
The house is nestled in a quiet tree covered yard and within walking distance to downtown. Wonderful experience. Our host, Kelly, was wonderfully personable. She gave us tips of where to eat and what to do in the area, and we had time to do most of them.
We loved our stay and I would recommend her place to anyone needing two beds and privacy. In the evenings, we would sit on her deck, drinking wine, playing games from her collection, all in a wooded setting. When it got dark, she even provided candles. In the morning, Kelly texted me when the coffee was being poured. We had a great experience there, and I hope to return. The host here allowed me to park the motorcycle in the garage.
Will plan to stay with Kelly every year! We enjoyed our stay oblivion rides efficace this private basement room. We appreciated the private en-suite bathroom and shower.
It was a bit dusty on the living room side, so we stuck mostly to the bed side. Kelly left us some filtered water and snacks, and there were local guidebooks provided. I did suggest to Kelly that she install a door between the room and the laundry room that connects to it, in order to make the room even more comfortable. Great place to stay if you are in town for the medical school.
I had an interview and it was only a 5 minute drive to the campus. Great hospitality and the entire basement if private for you. The stay was so wonderful, accommodations blew us out of the water. It was the perfect place to retreat too after hik.
This was our first experience with this service and it was very good. The accommodations were very nice and comfortable.
There were some nice personal touches and were made to feel at home. Out 10 year old daughter enjoyed it too as she kept talking about it. Kelly was an outstanding hostess and very nice and friendly. I highly recommend and hope that we are able to return.
Expect a home that is very comfortable. Home big enough to be an estate full of the furnishings that a family was raised in. We stopped here last minute, and Janice and Robbie were able to take care of us on short notice-very grateful! They also allowed us to bring our injured dog- so thankful. This was our first time staying at an Air BnB and I am so glad it was here!
Janice is fabulous and we loved her house! It is in a great location to everything in Lewisburg. One of the nicest neighborhoods in the area. Kids played football in back yard and played on slide. Janice is super nice and accomendating with a great upstairs for multiple guests.
It was a great stay and I highly recommend this space to anyone staying in the area. Very nice people and a clean place to stay with some nice touches, such as a pool table for use.
Neighborhood very safe and pretty. You can tell the home and owner shows pride and family values. It was great to stay at Robin's -- we would definitely stay there again.
It is a terrific location from which to enjoy the many amenities of downtown Lewisburg. I'm really glad I stayed with Robin. It was affordable, close to town and a great value. The room was large, clean and the private bathroom was nice. Robin is friendly and her hospitality is fabulous. Fun stay. I recommend staying here for anyone wanting to explore WV. We enjoyed our stay very much, the place was cozy, comfortable, and convenient to downtown Lewisburg.
Thanks Robin! I was very comfortable at Robin's home. Robin was also very nice and sociable. Robin is an amazing host. I highly recommend staying with her! Clean, affordable room in a great location -- within walking distance to restaurants, shops and bars. The room was spacious and had everything we needed! We would definitely stay here again. This is truly a hidden gem right in downtown Lewisburg! I lived here for 8 years and never realized this was here. Perfect location, park your vehicle and walk to anywhere downtown.
Exceptionally clean and cozy. Booking was easy and the owner was great with communication, made our stay a breeze! Will return. Great place to stay in Lewisburg. Although, it's next to The Asylum, the room was sound proof, so if you're a light sleeper, you don't have to worry about any sleep interruption. Also, it it is next to Hill and Holler which is a awesome pizza spot that's easy to walk to.
Great spot for passersby! Perfect place for location. Very clean! Restaurant right next door is absolutely great! Quiet and in the historic town. Walking distance to shops. You can become a local and relax! The Escape was more than expected. The interior is gorgeous, sparkling clean and very quiet. I will definitely return.
Paula provides everything you could possibly need. The room had all necessary amenities and a host of extras. Would definitely stay there again. Highly recommend! The Escape is truly that - an escape to a wonderful retreat in the wonderful town of Lewisburg, WV. The room was simple, but tasteful, and the bed was heavenly. I slept so well the two nights that I spent there. You won't be disappointed. What a great location for a short stay.
Right in the downtown area of Lewisburg, was in walking distance to many things around. The room was spectacular, very neat, clean and hip. It was also good size, not too crammed for two people. I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking to stay in the Lewisburg area!!
Thanks so much Patricia! This place is awesome! Located right down town. It's new, clean, and beautiful! Rooms are very large. Will certainly stay here again in the future! Dietetique lunel viel place to stay while in Lewisburg! Walking distance from everything, and easy keyless entry are major perks! A perfect weekend away. Ideally located. Very clean and all necessary supplies were there. Will definitely return.
Another wonderful stay at The Escape! I will continue to make this charming hotel my hotel of choice when traveling to Lewisburg for work. This place was very cute and comfortable. They are very friendly and active! I actually brought treats with me for my friends dog and well Anyways we were only a couple miles from town so we enjoyed some nice restaurants and attractions! Great place. Very friendly host. We will absolutely stay again if in the area.
Absolutely beautiful. My boyfriend and I stayed the weekend at Kristie's place and thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. Pictures don't do this place justice. It's very cozy, cute and extremely clean. The beautiful scenery is an added bonus. Kristie is a great host. Very easy to communicate with and quick to respond to any questions. We definitely plan to make another trip back here!
The views were fantastic. Kristie and her dogs and cat were a joy to get to know. Kristie's place was so charming and a perfect size for 3 people over a long weekend. A lot of other options in the area are huge houses so this was a great find. The location was unbeatable with having some space but still close to town and amenities.
Kristie is so friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay and all her sweet dogs. If I'm in the area again I would definitely go again!
We loved this little house; the decor is quirky and wonderful, the setting is unbelievably beautiful, and Kristie and her dogs and cat were a pleasure to meet. We wish we could have stayed longer! I guarantee you will not find a better host than Kristie!
She was fantastic in making sure my stay was impeccable and fabulous! I can not wait to go back and stay at this wonderful little cottage hidden in Lewisburg WV! I could not have been more pleased with my experience.
Mariah's place was absolutely lovely. It was walking distance from downtown Lewisburg and all of its great restaurants. Definitely hoping to stay there again if work brings me back. Mariah and Scott couldn't have been nicer or more helpful!
Great communicators and very flexible with our arrival time and needs. Truly wonderful hosts! Mariah and her husband are very welcoming! Their home is very nice, clean, and comfortable!
My husband and i stayed the night for an event in Lewisburg, and this was our first Airbnb experience. We were extremely happy and would like to return some day! They provided many tips and suggestions, which were very helpful! Everything was very clean and they were more than accommodating. Cannot wait to revisit! A wonderful location and nice host. Good value. Window unit AC in bedroom but not bathroom. Comfortable bed. Staying here was wonderful. Though there were inches and inches of snow outside, inside were were super cozy!
The tile is beautiful, and even in winter not as chilly as you would think. The kitchen was great, the beds super comfy, the sauna hot, and the whole place hospitable! You couldn't ask for a better jumping off point to go check out the downtown or just hibernate, enjoy the fire and watch a movie.
No microwave and no TV just adds to the idea that you need to take a few minutes, be with the people you love, and enjoy cooking on their awesome stove. Very excellent.
Our little girl loved sleeping on the futon, playing in the snow out back, and taking a warm and happy bath here. Beautiful, artsy cottage in a perfect location. Just a short walk to Lewisburg restaurants. Or you could sit on the back porch and bird watch and almost forget that you were actually in town. Easy check-in and communication from the host. We hope to stay there again sometime. It was perfect for our weekend in this lovely WV town!
Mary provided all we needed except food and clothing. The house was clean, neat and beautiful! Very airy and light-filled! The listing was accurate. We were very comfortable during our stay.
After working hard all day we were able to relax in this fabulous cottage and felt safe there. The beds were comfortable. What a great place! Very unique experience, which fits with Lewisburg's rating as "Americas coolest small town".
I loved the back garden. All the downtown shops and bars were within a very safe walking distance which was very helpful. The key box made check in simple, and we could take our time getting there since we weren't worried about meeting someone at a certain time for check in.
Both beds were very comfortable. Our stay was great! The location perfect. The bird and wildlife that passed through the yard alone was amazingincluding a Black Bear, a Fisher Cat, Deer, a Skunk, a Groundhog and even a painted Turtle.
We enjoyed the open layout of the home, its spacious windows open to nature and especially the quiet. Ben was the most gracious of hosts! Beautiful secluded location just a few miles away from several nice little towns. Saw deer and a bear walk right across property. House was very clean and had plenty of room. Ben answered quickly, was very accommodating and was super nice. We got there over 30 minutes early and he was so nice about it and let us go right in.
A little hidden gem in the house was his extensive cassette tape recordings of Grateful Dead shows. We listened to them while hanging out playing card games. We will definitely be staying again. Ben was a great host, very responsive! The home is in a lovely forest setting and the beds are very comfortable.
Nice place to stay! We had a great stay at Ben's house. He was always quick to respond to any questions we had and there was plenty of room for our family. Couple things to point out, the jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom does not work and the fireplace needed to be serviced as well.
The location was very convenient and the views are beautiful. Ben responds quickly and made us feel at home. The house was just as described, in a very private location. We also enjoyed seeing the wildlife daily, including deer and turkeys. Close to Lewisburg- but very quiet and private! Lots of room! Great place to unplug, relax, walk the long driveway for exercise. Full kitchen.
Quick responses from host. We had a great stay - the house was clean, comfortable, and secluded, but still close to town. A doe walked through the backyard each morning - a nice way to start the day. She was very available and concerned that our stay was all we hoped it would be.
Very complete accommodation. A Five stars Airbnb. It was such a pleasure to meet Rebecca. Her cottage is spacious and adorable! Planning on staying with her again soon! The cottage was great! It was stocked with a bunch of wonderful board games, and a great location close to downtown. Great lady, very thoughtful and helpful. Very easy to work with and check in and check out were as simple as can be.
The perfect combination of an amazing place to stay, and a very gracious host! Comfortable skin pigmentation laser hair removal clean, the cabin has everything you will need for a great stay. Rebecca is very thoughtful and accommodating! I will definitely stay there again next time I'm in town! This cottage is the ideal spot to stay at.
Rebecca is a lovely host! She makes you feel welcomed and wanting to come back an stay. This is the home away from home! Rebecca is easy to work with! The cottage is a short drive from the fair grounds and surrounding restaurants. Incredibly clean and new, it's a short walk to many great shops and restaurants in town. The Wild Bean is one of my favorite coffee shops anywhere. Would return here in dietetique musculation prise masse cuisse heartbeat if my travels permit it, thanks again Patricia!
This house is what I dream owning one day. We all had a blast and will be back! This house is so beautiful and so peaceful! My only regret is only having one night to stay there. The hosts were helpful and thoughtful as well. Great house. Host was easy to work with, helped us by accommodating us with a special request.
Provide us a home to create a memorable weekend. I highly recommend this home and host. Such a unique and relaxing home with a natural setting which was so convenient to Lewisburg, White Sulphur Springs, and all the little surrounding communities. Loved the wildlife that wander thru each morning and evening too! Place was pristine, Kristie was very accommodating. For being a working farm you could hardly tell, it was very quiet and well kept.
The hand made soap was a nice touch. Definitely will stay again. Kristie is an amazing host and her place is by far my favorite AirBnb I have ever been too! It was a wonderful experience and we are eager to go back!
Kristie's cabin is adorable! I loved all the decor and it was the perfect size for a weekend trip for one couple. I had an excellent night's sleep because it's so quiet out at the cabin and the bed was perfect. Can't wait to come back! Kristie is a wonderful lady and a fantastic host, this was a great find and look forward to my next stay there.
The inside is well described with the photos and description of the place. Well done Kristie!!! What an absolutely lovely experience! Everything was amazing: the beautiful degree views, the extreme cleanliness of everything, and the extreme hospitality by Kristie. This was one of the best weekend getaways I could have ever wanted.
As an animal lover with 5 fur babies, I could not get enough of Cora and loved meeting the puppies as well! She was a great host who was warm and was in quick communication with us. The cabin was cozy and clean and surrounded by beautiful scenery. Would definitely recommend! Pleasant place, cute as a button. Mellisa, AKA Kristie was great. You should know that it really is on a farm.
Lots of wildlife around, aggressive cats and tons of insects. The cat was a little annoying, clawing the screens and meowing in the middle of the night. Not an issue if you like to close the windows and enjoy the AC, which worked quietly and well, but a bummer if you like open windows and fresh air. The bugs included the advertised fireflies, which were gorgeous, a real treat to watch, but also houseflies and hornets which somehow managed to get in past the screens.
The other part of the farm thing is that it is a factory turkey farm and that installation, about yards away, completely dominates the view from the only outdoor sitting area. We went to West Virginia to unplug from our fast paced life styles and get some much needed relaxation.
The mountains were breathtaking the tiny home was adorable and we had an amazing adventure. We just so happened to be in Lewisburg for their annual TOOT Taste of our town festival where main st was shut down and food venders were lined up and down the street!! After leaving there we went a few miles away to explore the underground caves of Lost World Caverns. Finished up the nigh with a nice long hike through the mountains and watching the moonrise. Then singled up by the fire with a glass of wine.
My expectations were beyond exceeded!! Thank you again Cheryl for sharing your little piece of paradise with us for such a memorable experience!! We had a wonderful one night stay at the Little Red Ranch. Very close to downtown Lewisburg as well as the Greenbrier River Trail.
Beautiful property The hosts were very friendly. A fire pit was already prepared with fire starting material and wood for a perfect bonfire at night. Would certainly stay again! What a neat, historic house! Plenty of room, nice outdoor area and in walking distance of unique restaurants and shops.
Destiny was so kind and accommodating. This house is a beautiful Lewisburg gem! I had never been to the town before but it is beautiful and such a perfect place for a weekend getaway. On top of that, the North Garden House is absolutely beautiful inside and out!
The host was very responsive and answered any questions we had. I am looking forward to our next trip to Lewisburg! The location of this house is perfect. Elizabeth met us at the door when we arrived and walked us through the place. She was helpful and quick to respond to all my questions before and during my stay. I would definitely recommend this place as it is walking distance from the town, which is so cute!!
My wife and I had a wonderful stay. The home was beautiful, charming and cozy. The host made us feel welcome from the jump, gave us a nice walkthrough of the home and even offered a nice restaurant recommendation. The restaurant was great, the stay was better.
Thank you for the hospitality, we look forward to staying here again in the future. This charming space is actually your own little home attached to the main house. A separate entrance ensures private access. The house is tastefully appointed and includes two bedrooms one with a walk-in-closet! You'll want to move IN!
Elizabeth was most hospitable, yet not at all intrusive. The location is perfect for an easy walk to downtown restaurants, galleries, shops, and entertainment venues.
Step out from downtown Lewisburg back two centuries in this historic well appointed home which feels like a Parisian dwelling--with 10 foot ceilings, and comfortable furnishings. Elizabeth is well traveled, an excellent calculer son poids idéal grossesse kiabi, and stocks her place with interesting books, including classics for children, and a variety of games.
There is even a shady outdoor patio area in this mid town oasis. Awesome location in downtown Lewisburg. You can easily walk to just about anything.
Place is much bigger than expected. Easily accommodated our entire crew. Beds are comfortable and plenty of storage space for long or short stays. Upstairs neighbor was quiet and barely noticed they were there! Would definitely stay here again :. Perfect pet friendly space! Nancy was very accommodating and I was so grateful for her willingness to work with me!
The 2 bedroom apartment was perfect for our group--two couples and dog. It's extremely well kept and, since it's behind the house and down the driveway, very quiet. It's also equipped with all the essentials. Great place to stay for a weekend--we'll be looking to come back! It's much larger than it looks in the pictures, and it was sparkling clean. Nancy was a great host. The location cannot be beat. It's one block off the main downtown area which is adorable, but very quiet and safe.
The beds were very comfortable, and the apartment was nicely decorated and had everything we needed. I definitely hope to be back! Nancy's place was a quiet, comfortable base for our trip to explore Lewisburg and mountain bike, hike, and fly fish in the Cranberry Wilderness area.
Perfect location for everything in downtown Lewisburg. Easy check in. Felt MUCH bigger than the pictures on the internet. We were very pleased. We had a great stay at Don's place. Check in was easy, and the accommodations were as pictured and quite comfortable. I booked Don's place as a getaway for my parents' 30th Anniversary, and they just loved the place.
It was very cozy and clean, in a great location, and the view was breathtaking. They said it looked like they could "touch the stars. Great value and a great place! I unfortunately had to leave early for a work emergency, but Don was a great guy and I enjoyed chatting with him upon arrival. Great location and place. Don's guest suite is a cute area above his garage, next to his house. Don and Jan were friendly and willing to provide anything we needed.
They have the basic supplies needed for fixing meals. We would definitely consider staying here in the future. My wife and I had an extended stay of two months at Don's apartment and it was perfect for us.
The kitchen was large and had everything we needed to cook our meals. Don was very accommodating and meet us in person at check in to make sure everything was ok. The only issue we had was with the WiFi, since it comes from Don's house on the other side of the driveway there was only a strong signal near the window on that side of the apartment.
Huile de ricin cheveux tarif
Don told us about this at check in so it wasn't a surprise, although I wish we had known about it before we booked. It was only a minor inconvenience at times and our laptop was able to connect from the dining room table as well as the bed so it didn't affect us too much, we just used more mobile data than usual on our cell phones. The location was perfect, just out of town so it was quiet and you could see the stars but less than 10 minutes to whatever you need in town.
Don's place was an amazing value for our extended stay, we were more than happy to call it home and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area! I could only say positive things about Don and the spot. Was a wonderful stay! Very stylish location and gorgeous views as described. Also cute kitties and doggies on the property! Jesse was very quick to respond and made me feel welcome in his home. His dogs met me at the door with body wags and the smell of the home was pleasant and inviting.
Very comfortable bed with coffee and a bear claw in the morning thank you sir for being a great Host. Clean space. Fun tech amenities.
Jesse knows the area well and found me an excellent restaurant during my stay. Check in with simple and communication with him was easy and clear. He did arrive home at in the morning with two other friends. His sweet dogs went crazy.
They turned on the music, they turned up the music, and then proceeded to party until we got out of bed and asked them to please keep it down a bit. My husband said it shattered the peace of the night. It was alarming. We recommend that you get a commitment from Jesse that your nights rest will be his priority before booking. The place was extremely clean, his dogs are cute, and he had coffee and a danish for me in the morning.
This house by itself was very warming and emotionally comforting. There was no television but a good wifi connection and even a computer available but we never used it. The wood burner was a nice touch and this is the kind of place you wouldn't mind being snowed in for a few days. Mark was a gracious host who made us feel right at home and also greatly respected our privacy.
The views from his clean and peaceful home are absolutely spectacular! Thanks Mark! It is very quiet and private with gorgeous views off the generous wrap around deck. There was plenty of space for a three generation mini-family reunion.
Mark was very responsive and helpful to us. This experience was Aplus for us. The view from this large home is stunning and well worth the windy, steep road to get there. Mark is a considerate and helpful host. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Mark has a very nice place. It's calming with lots of greens and a view to the river. The location is a little bit out of town but that makes it a very quiet and relaxing place which we liked very much. Very recommended place.
This is a wonderful place for rest and quiet with beautiful views of the New River. The wrap around porch is a plus. The road to the house is a bit rough, but certainly doable. Mark is very helpful, and his directions are clear and precise. We spent the weekend at Jenn and Clayton's place.
The house is just as described. Very spacious, comfy beds, plenty of blankets and amenities which my group appreciated! We walked to Sandstone Falls as suggested to me by Jenn and everyone enjoyed it. Jenn was very responsive as a host! Good times! Beautiful home, comfortable beds, wonderful porch to sit on, beautiful view of the river and Hinton is nearby wih all the amenities!
Glorious location with lits of places to hike and boat wiiin an hours' drive! Great place to gather with a group of friends who want to relax and have a weekend away! Our group brought all of our food with us and grilled out every day. Stayed with three families and small kids. Sleeping options for groups and kids worked well, the river is across a road but there isn't much traffic and overall having the river access, wide porch and big yard is awesome for families.
So is the horse-swing made from a tire. The surrounding State Parks are a must and hike at Sandstone Falls just a few miles up the road is easy for kids and really beautiful. A great location for gaining access to the river and great views from the front porch we ate most of our meals out there and our large group enjoyed that feature. A very cost effective way of getting a large group together by the river. Communication was excellent and everything in the house was functional with a well equipped kitchen area for preparing meals.
The yard areas was great for the kids and the listing was very accurate - a good time indeed. Jennifer was a great host that answered all questions we had before our visit. Would definitely recommend!! Joel and his wife have a nice setup for the guest. Room was clean and well ordered. Bathroom was nice. They had a continental breakfast set out for you to help yourself to. Very comfortable stay, very gracious hosts!
Lots of fun outdoor activities nearby. Super convenient to historic downtown Hinton which is clearly undergoing a renovation. This was the perfect place to stay for the wedding in town. Great stay! Sue was awesome in communicating with us, addressing our concerns, and meeting our needs! A truly wonderful property that combines hotel like amenities with quiet secluded charm. You could spend your entire trip just relaxing on the deck, grilling or napping in any of the the three comfortable, well furnished bedrooms.
The property is centrally located to amazing outdoor adventure and sightseeing opportunities like Pipestem State Park and New River Gorge National Park. My family had a wonderful time and were already talking about our return trip on our drive home. We really enjoyed staying at Up On The Hill.
Yeah, the train horns are loud and pretty regular as noted in the listing, but all in all, the place exceeded our expectations. It was super clean, the bed at least the master was super comfortable, and it was well outfitted. Think nice bath towels, comfy sheets, good AC if you're there in the summer. Make sure you pick up some essentials like coffee, water, snacks before you go. There are a good supply of basket filters, you'll need ground coffee. Grocery store is about 15 minutes away, although there are small convenience stores close by for emergencies.
Sue's place is very quaint albeit a bit old. Some furnishings are a bit run down and the noise from the train was louder than we expected. However Sue was great with communicating with us and media queries greater than or questions quickly. Overall a comfortable stay. I stayed at Sue's house for a month and absolutely loved it. I found the area peaceful and very private.
There's a large wrap around deck and backyard. The house is located near Lewisburg and several beautiful state parks. I would definitely stay at this house again. The only issue we had was the train. The comments I had read before booking this location was that you would hear the train whistling by but it was more than that. The train would blow the horn as it was passing the house. It was so loud. But the second night it came by about 8 or 9 times.
It felt like every hour I was running to the kids room to calm them down. We ended up checking out a day early and getting a hotel room because we needed a good night sleep and I was worried about the train coming by as much as it did the night before. Other than the train situation we had a great time at the house. Sue did a great job making her home feel like home. Excellent hosts! Bill and Rebecca are awesome. Very friendly people. Really know the area.
Spacious secluded cabin located right on the river Can easily sleep 12 people. The hosts met us there and already had a fire built outside. We did book this cabin for the indoor fireplace and hot tub. The indoor fireplace never worked, despite the owner trying numerous times. The hot tub was too cool to enjoy in October weather, temperature never raised on the hot tub. Host responses very quickly and is extremely friendly. We would definitely love to stay here again.
Fantastic views! The house is near mountaintop far off the main road. You will have clear vantages to the surrounding hills and mountains. Just a little further down a road on the property there is an even better view where you can get lost in the unobstructed beauty. Great for landscape artists and photographers! It was quiet and serene. The morning greeted us with birds and occasionally a group of friendly horses who would be unbelievably close to the house.
You are surrounded by nothing but mountains. Jerry is helpful and kind. Anything we needed she helped with. She was quick to respond to any questions and concerns. The house was live-in ready! It was as if we had come home after a journey elsewhere.
This was by FAR our best experience with ABNB, and would recommend this site to anyone looking for a picturesque rural mountain experience! Thanks again, Jerri. My friends and I stayed at Jerri's place so that we could ski at Winterplace. We enjoyed our time at her cottage as much as we enjoyed the snowy slopes!
It was very clean with lots of room for our group to games and hangout in the same common room. The horses on the property were so fun to watch! You will definitely enjoy yourself if you choose to stay here! We did have some difficulty finding the place. Jerri was very helpful though and sent a pin for the cottage that we followed. My suggestions would be to follow the navigation coordinates giving by airbnb not the address. Or search Pig Hollow road not Pie Hollow.
Great views. Perfect for our group of five. Two friendly dogs that stopped over once or twice a day were a hit with the kids. We had a great weekend at Pie Hollow. Jerri was very responsive and helpful when needed. My kids loved fishing in the pond and playing with the dogs and horses.
This was a fantastic getaway. This is a great get-away. Beautiful scenery and very quiet. The house has everything you need, and Jerri is a super hostess. A truly unique getaway on a private island that where the Greenbrier and the New river meet.
Sandy beach on both sides of the house with some privacy between boats going down the river. Great screened in porch, simple and charming kitchen. The host left milk, juice, water and fruit in the fridge. We needed Ice, charcoal, firewood and had to make a second trip to shore.
Having your own kayaks or paddle boards would be a bonus. This is a very unique and relaxing location! We were a tad nervous about taking stuff to the island in a raft but the adventure was awesome and the place was well worth it! Top notch in every way! We loved our weekend at Coney Island. Spent time fishing, kayaking, swimming and relaxing by the fire. Great experience. Would definitely go back again!! Kim and the cabin were great. She had a quiche ready for us upon arrival. The cabin was awesome and had everything set up for us.
Our only issue was the heat, with the weather in the 90s all trip and not knowing there was no air conditioning - we needed more fans. We would have brought fans of our own tf1 prothese mammaire québec help stay cool inside the cabin. Our host, Joanne, was extremely helpful and thoughtful in preparing us for our stay. We shared the island with all the local geese, turtles, and fish.
It was a truly unique experience. The bonfire pit was a big hit despite the rainy weekend. We enjoyed exploring the island, and as well, as the neighboring towns. We stayed our first night at the Guest House and it was absolutely beautiful. The extra touches at both the Cabin and Guest House like luxurious robes, towels, soaps were those extra touches that made the trip special.
The frig was stocked with water, milk and juice. They had a quiche prepared to our liking for when we arrived. Would highly recommend. Exactly as advertised and a great place for a family gathering. Good to know that the king bed is downstairs for future bookings! This home is beautiful, quiet and relaxing, and has great mountain views. Anne the owner and Heather the hostess were both friendly and helpful. There were plenty of towels, toilet paper, etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! This was an amazing adventure. My young adult children and granddaughter enjoyed the fooseball, Scrabble game and wildlife very much.
There was no real loss of tv with the tranquility and fun we were experiencing. The cabin is a delightful mix of rustic and modern. The wildlife and open sky were wonderful. I recommend this cabin and hope we have the occasion to visit again.
Beautiful cabin! A group stayed here for a ski weekend and it was perfect! Comfortable beds, clean, and cozy decor. Fyi for skiers, it's about 30 mins from Winterplace. Thanks Anne! The home is amazing, beautifully located and a great place to get away for a bit. A fantastic home. We had a great weekend trip to Hinton. The space was very clean and had everything we needed. Anne was very responsive and accommodating. Anne did give us a heads up about the sulfur in the water so we had plenty of bottle drinking water.
I did not expect the water to have a strong odor, you do notice it when you shower. We will definitely be back. The area has a lot to offer in the summer months from hiking to kayaking. Anna is a lovely host. Anna is involved in many local civic organizations and has great tips on the local area ranging from restaurants to outdoor recreation and amenities such as the local library.
This place is amazing! Highly recommend staying here. Very central in a quaint old town with everything walking distance. Fully stocked kitchen and a very nice host who lives nearby. I'd love to stay here again. Great house! Enjoy d the time I spent there. All the needed amenities, very clean, beautiful and included breakfast which was delicious! This will be a repeat for me. Our group of 6 truly enjoyed our experience in this lovely historic home in downtown Hinton, but it's no Hilton.
Kim was a gracious host and offered to cook us quiche for breakfast. Remember to keep her happy and call her 10 minutes prior to arrival so she can be there to unlock the door. The two bedrooms and full bath with tub shower are up a flight of 18 large stairs, and a half bath is downstairs near the kitchen.
We had an older handicapped man who had trouble with the stairs. Kim provided us with juice, milk, fresh fruit, decaf coffee, decaf tea, tap water, and cereal.
So many things were beautiful: the hardwood floors, bed spreads, antique furnishings, and my red pajamas. I'm sure the hand soap smelled nice, but it was empty and we had to resort to alternatives. Overall, we really had no complaints and we would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Our stay at the Townhouse was less than desirable. The TVs are from the 's and only one of them worked. The shower drain was very slow. The ceiling fans were filthy. The Keurig machine was broken. There was a nice assortment of juice and milk in the fridge and two quiches. The beds were comfortable and the towels were soft. This home was lovely, clean and spacious! It was more than enough room for my family of 6, and the fridge was stocked with milk and juice which was a lovely touch!
Close to downtown and the market restaurant which I recommend, and a 45 min drive to Lewisburg! Highly recommend this place, would love to visit again sometime!
Joel and Karen are wonderful hosts. Their place is very clean and comfortable. They are very caring people. I will be back if I am in the area. Staying at the Crape Myrtle house was a wonderful experience. I - along with the other guests for the weekend - was in town for a Spartan race. The cabin itself has been updated for a bath and kitchen. The big screened porch overlooks the Greenbrier River. Once you check in, you'll have the place all to yourself until it's time to leave. The cabin is a fully furnished year round home, rustic but comfortable. Take note of where the furniture is, then move whatever you want to make your stay more comfortable. You can put things back the way they were when it's time to leave.
Don't lose any time before acquainting yourself with the beautiful Greenbrier River. Drop your suitcases on the bed, unpack your groceries and step out onto the big screened porch overlooking the river. There's no better white sound than "live" water and there's no better place for a nap than a rocking chair on our porch. In a matter of moments, you will feel at home. The cabin has two double beds - one in the bedroom and a second one in a corner of the living room. There is also a twin sized hotel bed that can be unfolded and made up as needed.
Linens and pillows are provided for all three beds, and we'll put out towels for up to five people. If you have extra folks coming with you, we provide two adult-sized cots that make a comfortable bed but you'll need to bring your own linens or sleeping bags for those.
There's room on the floor for an air mattress ditto on the linens. The bathroom has a nice sized shower with plenty of racks for hanging towels. The lower shelf has a hair dryer, steam iron and miniature ironing board that can be used atop the kitchen table. The kitchen has a stove, microwave and refrigerator. Cupboards contain basic dishes, utensils, pots and pans, serving dishes of all kinds, cookie sheets and baking pans.
All of the pottery, china, stoneware and pyrex dishes are oven and microwave safe. The fridge and cabinets have basic condiments and some food. Unless it's marked "Do Not Use" you may help yourself to whatever's there. If you do finish off the last of something basic like butter, coffee, sugar, mayo, etc. Of course, if you don't want to cook, you can venture out and find some wonderful food. Because of the proximity to the Greenbrier Resort, our part of West Virginia has a great many restaurants with creative chefs who finished their training at the Greenbrier.
The River Cabin notebook on a table in the living room has suggestions for nearby activities. Even better, let us know ahead of time what your interests are and we'll try to point you in the right direction. You don't need to leave our property if you like hunting, hiking or fishing. Birdwatchers are treated to sightings of great blue herons, pileated woodpeckers and occasional bald eagles in the daytime. Eastern phoebes are charming, as well as bank swallows that hang out near the river.
After dark we are used to hearing the night call of several species of owls. We keep binoculars and a bird identification book on the sideboard in the kitchen. Even though the property affords privacy, it is only 5 miles from a regional hospital. The old railroading town of Hinton is just 7 miles from the cabin. There is a Kroger grocery store, hardware store, and a Rite-Aid drug store that includes a liquor store.
For almost anything else you might need, a Dollar General store is the place to go for everything from chain saws to lingerie. Board games, batteries, appliances and Christmas ornaments - if they don't have it, you don't need it. We keep an assortment of cards and board games under one of the living room tables. Under the other table is a toy bin with books, dolls, dinosaurs and more. If your child falls in love with a book or toy you may take it home with you as our gift.
And, of course, there's the river. The Greenbrier is suitable for tubing or kayaking. You can bring your own raft, canoe or kayak, or you can rent one in town.
Whether you're headed out for an afternoon of skipping rocks or a few hours of photography, we've cleared two paths for ready access down to the river and back. We have over yards of river frontage. As our guest, you may fish from the banks but if you want to cast a line from a boat or canoe, or if you want to drive down to the public access spots and try your luck in the New River, you'll need a West Virginia fishing license.
Angler's shops in Hinton can sell you whatever license you might need. Naturally, they'll also have a selection of tackle they'd like for you to have a look at while you're there.
Whether you make a purchase or not, you'll find them friendly and willing to oblige with tips and recommendations. We greatly enjoy walking in the woods "up the holler. The hills on either side are steep and present more of a challenge should you choose to strike out away from the logging road. We keep a couple of walking sticks stacked in the corner beside the back door in the kitchen. Note: Be sure to bring them back with you!! It's easy to get caught up enjoying the greenery but if you set one of the walking sticks down to take a photograph, be sure to take note of where you laid it so you can bring it back with you.
This is a vintage log home, tucked in between small creeks and ravines and surrounded by dogwoods, maple, oak and hemlock trees. The property includes acres with hundreds of yards of frontage on the beautiful Greenbrier River.
There are good roads all the way to our drive. Camp Lightfoot Road is one lane but there is room for two vehicles to pass each other if both are courteous about pulling over onto the shoulder a bit. The cabin is our home away from home.
When we're expecting guests, we clear out and let you have the place all to yourselves. The white notebook in the living room has a map of the River Cabin property so you'll know the dimensions of our acreage.
Most of the guest comments include some mention of the screened porch, and some folks never leave it long enough to go exploring on the rest of our property!
With more than acres, however, you can take some nice walks along on the old logging road that follows the creek. Or you can strike out through the woods and catalog the wildflowers and native plants. There's a guide book in the living room that you can carry with you. We've come across Jack-in-the-pulpit, maidenhair fern, rhododendron, wild ginger, miterwort, scads of ferns, decorative lichens and more. Please note that guests are not permitted to pick, harvest, cut or dig anything on the property.
The woods are charming, and we want to leave them just the way they are. Walking sticks are stacked beside the door that leads out onto the screened porch from the kitchen. It's easy to get caught up enjoying the greenery but if you lay the walking stick down, remember to bring it back with you. The Greenbrier is a "natural" river.
It has never been dammed, and the banks are home to beavers, river otters and a huge assortment of birds. Regular sightings include bald eagle, great blue heron, pileated woodpecker, Eastern phoebes and many more. We keep binoculars and a couple of bird identification books on hand for your use. In front of the cabin, the river is yards across and it is an excellent stream for smallmouth bass and other game fish. Local fishing outfitters have the best information on what's biting and what kind of tackle to use.
